Chanute, KS - The Neosho County Men's basketball team lost a hard fought conference game at home to Kansas City Kansas Community College 80-74 on Saturday.  The game was tied 36-36 at halftime and featured 10 ties, and 9 lead changes.

Redshirt sophomore Michael Doria led a balanced Panther offense in scoring with 17 points.  Sophomore post Jordayn Buhrle added 13 points. Other Panther's scoring in double figures were sophomore Damian Jones and freshman Champ Powaukee who both added 11 points. Freshman Adyn Prophete had 10 rebounds to lead the Panthers on the glass, with redshirt freshman Malachi Wesley adding 5 rebounds.  Neosho County had 14 assists for the game and were led by Champ Powaukee with 3.

Neosho County is now 9-12 on the season and 2-5 in conference play.  The Panther's resume play on Wednesday with a home conference game against league leading Johnson County Community College at 7:30.
