Softball Splits With Allen

Chanute, KS - In game #1 the Panthers came out strong against Allen scoring in the first inning after an error scored a run and Annsleigh Morris singled scoring two runs. The Panthers extended the lead 4-0 in the bottom of the third. Morris went 1-3 at the plate as she led the team with three runs batted in. Six more panthers each collected a hit during the game. Making the final score 5-0. The defense for the Panthers turned a double play to help Eleanor Rieck secure the win. Rieck gave up seven hits, with zero runs over seven innings. Rieck walked one and struck out three. 
 

The Panthers fell short in game two against Allen, losing 5-1. Allen scored first, however, Caitlyn Myers opened it up in the bottom of the first with a homerun to center field. Allen took the lead in the third inning. Gracie Turner started the game for the Panthers in the circle and went three innings. Turner surrendered five runs, on five hits, walking one and striking out five. Emma West, Jessica Petric, Annsleigh Morris, and Myers each collected one hit for the Panthers. Myers went 1-3 at the plate scoring the only run for the Panthers. The Panthers had five stolen bases and Morris led them with two.
