Chanute, KS- Neosho took on the Hawks from Northeast CC in a double-header, winning both games 7-1 and 13-4. In game one,
Chayse Gruber got his first win of the year, throwing all seven innings only giving up one run on four hits while recording 7 strikeouts along the way.
Kam Koester and
Gilbert Rodriguez lead the offense with two hits and an RBI from both of them.
Brenden Fry and
Tyler Leonard added to the scoring, both hitting home-runs. In game two,
Jaret Myers picked up his first win of the season throwing 6 innings allowing four runs while recording six strikeouts. The Panther offense scored eight runs in the bottom of the first inning to put the game away early.
Cody Moore,
Kam Koester and
Brenden Fry lead the way by having a combined six hits, five RBI's and six runs scored. Fry sent another ball out of the yard for his second home-run of the day.
