Chanute, KS - In what was a game that had 14 lead changes, the Highland Scotties emerged victorious after a mad scramble led to a 2 point shot by Josh Owens to give Highland the lead with 17 seconds remaining. The Panthers had one more shot to win the game, but newcomer
Tane Kirisome came up short on his 3Pt attempt as time expired.
The Panthers played hard and were able to limit their turnovers to 12 (down from 21 in their previous game), but they couldn't slow down freshman guard, Greg Moore, who finished with a game high 27 points on 9/18 shooting.
Neosho once again got strong performances from their lefty shooters
Alexander Norris (22 points, 6/11 FGs, 7/8 FTs), and
Shaun Holmes (11 points, 4 rebounds, 4/6 FGs, 3/5 3Pt FGs).
The Panthers will look to bounce back on Saturday as they hit the road to play Fort Scott Community College at 4:00pm.
