Fort Scott Community College is known for their home court advantage, and the Neosho County Panthers saw it firsthand on Saturday afternoon. The Greyhounds used their raucous crowd and a high energy defensive attack to jump out to a 9-0 lead over the first 3 minutes of the game. The Panthers were able to claw back, however, and went on a 10-0 run themselves over the next 3 minutes to take the lead. But that lead would be short lived, as Fort Scott was able to get to the free throw line repeatedly in the first half, finishing the game shooting a robust 23/38.
          Â
The Greyhounds held a double digit lead throughout the 2
nd half, and were able to dominate the turnover battle 24-12 on their way to a 17 point victory.
          Â
Neosho had a couple of standout performances, led by sophomore guard
Alexander Norris, who has emerged as the teams #1 scorer through the first three conference games. Norris finished with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and shot an efficient 8/14 from the field, 6/6 from the free throw line. The Panthers also got a good game from
Traymond Willis-Shaw, who ended up with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5/7 FGs, and 4/5 from the 3Pt line.

NCCC will head to Allen County on Wednesday Jan. 25
th to take on the Red Devils.
