Chanute, KS -  Neosho County got off to a slow start, falling down by 9 points in the first 3 minutes, but quickly mounted a comeback behind a 3 point barrage from sophomore guards 
Derrick Wiley and 
Alexander Norris, eventually leading to a 10 point advantage at halftime. The Panthers played quality defense throughout the game, limiting Bethany to 27% from the field and 24% from 3. On the other side, NCCC shot a blistering 59% from the field and 54% from 3. Neosho also dominated the battle of the boards, finishing with a 60-26 rebound advantage.
           
But perhaps the biggest stat for the Panthers success was their assists total. Neosho had a season high 34 assists, highlighted by 9 apiece from 
Jamarion Butler and 
Michael Odingo, and 7 from 
Alexander Norris. Bethany finished the game with 17 assists.

Neosho had a balanced attack as 7 players finished in double figures. Among those 7 were 
Derrick Wiley (17 points, 5/6 3pt FG), 
Jamarion Butler (14 points, 7/10 FG, 9 assists), 
Traymond Willis-Shaw (14 points, 4 blocks), 
Davion Lewis (14 points, 5/7 FG, 5 rebounds), and 
Michael Odingo (8 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists).
