Chanute, KS - In what has been the Achilles heel so far for the Panthers this season, they were able to turn into a strength on Friday night. Neosho won the turnover battle 28-11, and also had more assists than their opponent, 22-17. All of that, combined with an efficient shooting night (52% from the field), culminated in a 37 point victory at home against Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
The Panthers got a massive performance from
Jamarion Butler, who scored 34 points on a blistering 15-19 FGs, and added 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Butler was unstoppable in getting to the rim, scoring most of his points in the paint on drives and cuts. Neosho County had 2 other players in double figures, Miachel Odingo (12 points), and
Jamari Robinson (10 points).
The Panthers will look for 3 wins in a row as they face off against Bethany College for the second time in a week on Saturday afternoon.
