Box Score 2 Butler, KS – The Panthers fell to Hutchinson Community College and Butler Community College on Friday afternoon. The Panthers would lose a tough fought 5 set match against the Blue Dragons with set scores of 17-25, 25-18, 25-16, 17-25, 6-15. The Dragons took the opening set but the Panthers would come back strong in sets two and three to take them both. The Dragons would change things up and come back to take sets four and five to take the match. The Panthers then fell to the Grizzlies of Butler Community College in three straight sets with set scores of 18-25, 12-25, 17-25. The Grizzlies would start out on top and not let up to take the match is three.
Offensively freshman outside
Alyssa Hunter tallied 25 kills in the two matches she was followed by sophomore outside
Hannah Brisco who tallied 16 kills in the two matches. Defensively sophomore libero
Brooklyn Strobel recorded 40 digs. Defensively at the net the Panthers were led by sophomore right side
Rylee Moseman, sophomore middle
McKinley Pruitt and freshman middle
Talia Wright who all recorded 4 block assists.
The Panthers move to 2-3 on the season and stay at 2-1 in KJCCC play. Their next match up will be on Wednesday the 15
th VS Baker JV at 3:00 PM followed by a conference match against Hesston Community College at 7:00 PM at home. Watch live here:
