Chanute, Kan – Panther Volleyball Falls to Cowley 3-0

The Panthers fell to the Tigers of Cowley College Wednesday night in three with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, and 25-17. The Tigers would come out in set one and take an early 11-3 lead. The Panthers were able to pull within five at 18-13 but the Tigers would extend their lead and take set one at 25-15.
In set two, the Panthers would take a four point lead at 11-7 before the Tigers were able to tie it up at 11. The Panthers pulled ahead and took a three point lead at 23-20 before the Tigers rallied together five points to win set two at 25-23Â
Set three would see the Panthers take a 6-5 lead before Cowley was able to tie it at 7-7, and then eventually take the lead 8-7. Cowley would extend their lead to 16-10 and would take set three with a score of 25-17, to take the match by a score of 3 sets to 0.

Offensively, the Panthers were led by sophomore outside
Hannah Brisco and freshman outside
Alyssa Hunter who both tallied 9 kills in the match. Sophomore libero
Brooklyn Strobel led the defensive with 10 digs on the match.Â

The Panthers move to 1-1 on the season and 1-1 in KJCCC play. The next matchup will be September 8
