Panthers Season Ends on Road at #15 Cowley

Box Score Arkansas City, KS — The Neosho County men's basketball season came to a close with a second round loss in the Region VI Tournament at the W. Scott Auditorium on Wednesday night, by a score of 105-71.

Cowley would lead from tip to finish but the Panthers would make it interesting as they cut the Tiger lead to 6 with 12 minutes to play. Missed free throws and second chance points would ultimately end the Panthers season.

Cowley will move on to play the Barton Cougars Friday night at Friends University, in Wichita, Kansas.

Coach Coombs' thoughts on the loss, "It's was definitely a physical game and one we just weren't deep enough to complete in. It was a solid season considering all the adversities but I look forward to rebuilding and getting ready for next year."
