Highland, KS – The Panthers took on the Tigers of Cowley College on Friday in the first round of the district tournament. (25-13, 22-25, 28-26, 25-23) Neosho would come out strong in set one and hopped out on a 9-4 lead and would keep the lead the whole first set.  The Panthers would stay strong and aggressive in set one and take it 25-13.  The Tigers came out stronger in set two playing right with the Panthers for the set.  The tigers would come away with set two 25-22.  Set three again would be the two teams playing close the whole set.  The set would get tied up at 21-21 and again at 22-22.  A serving error by the Panthers would give the Tigers a one point lead before the set would get tied up again at 23-23.  A Tiger error would end the set and the Panthers would come away with set three 28-26.  Set four the Panthers would start with an early 6-3 lead.  The Panthers would take a larger lead mid set 18-11.  The Panthers would have set point at 24-18 before letting the Tigers go on a 5-0 run to pull within one.  A kill by Riley Kallevig would seal the deal in game one of the district tournament. 
 
The offense for the Panthers was led by freshman outside Jolene Tidwell with 12 kills followed by freshman outside Riley Kallevig with 11 kills.  The Panther defense was led by freshman libero Brooklyn Strobel with 15 digs followed by freshman outside Riley Kallevig with 11 digs. 
 
This win took the Panthers to the district championship against Highland Community College.
