Chanute, KS – The Panthers fell to Johnson County in four sets on Saturday afternoon (17-25, 25-27, 25-21, 16-25).  The Cavaliers would jump on an early 4-0 run to start off set one.  Johnson would keep control in set one and take it 25-17.  Set two would be point for point and tied up at 12-12, it would again get tied up at 17-17.  The Panthers would take the lead at 24-23, Johnson would tie it back up at 24-24 and once again the Panthers would take the lead 25-24.  Johnson would tie it up then score the next two to take set two 27-25.  In set three the Panthers would bring some fight and take an early 9-4 lead. The Panthers were able to keep a lead the whole set and finish out set three on top 25-21.  The Cavaliers would come away with set four with a set score of 25-16. 
 
Freshman right side Hannah Brisco led the offensive with 14 kills followed by freshman middle McKinley Pruitt and freshman outside Jolene Tidwell who both had 11 kills.  Freshman libero Brooklyn Strobel and freshman setter Rylee Moseman led the defense with 14 digs each. 
 
The Panthers move to 11-7 overall and 10-6 in conference play.  Next up for the Panthers will be on Monday, March 22 at Labette at 6:30 pm.
