Chanute, KS – The Panthers fall in three sets against #18 Fort Scott (25-23, 25-20, 25-22).  The Greyhounds would start out on top taking a 6-3 lead to kick off the match. The Panthers would then rally a couple points together to tie the set up at 6-6 before the Greyhounds were able to regain the lead.  Then the set went point for point before Fort Scott would take a 3 point lead again making it 13-10.  Again, Neosho would rally and tie it up at 13-13.  The Panthers then took their first lead of the game at 14-13.  The set would continue to stay close until the Panthers would take a 22-18 lead.  Fort Scott would end up coming back and taking finishing the first set 23-25.  The Greyhounds would take jump out to an early lead in set 2 with a score of 12-4.  The Panthers were able to pull within 3 points at 13-10 before the Greyhounds would go on another run to make the score 16-10.  Neosho would push points at the end, but it would be too late, Fort Scott would take set two 20-25.  The third set stayed close and the Panthers lead 19-18 before having two service errors in a row to make the score 20-20.  Neosho would pull within one at 23-22, but Fort Scott was able to earn the next two points to end the match 25-22. 
 
The Panthers' offense was led by freshman right side Hannah Brisco who tallied 12 kills in the match.  Defensively the Panthers were led by freshman libero Brooklyn Strobel who tallied 13 digs in the match.  Freshman middle Samantha Johnson tallied 4 block assists.
 
Neosho moves to 8-3 overall and 7-2 in conference.  The Panthers will head to Arkansas City on Thursday, March 4th to take on the Tigers of Cowley College at 6:30 PM.
