Game 1:
The Panthers fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-0 loss to Crowder College on Tuesday, March 2nd in game one of the doubleheader. Neosho's offense struggled against Crowder's ace. One positive was Katie Boline's two singles. Cassidy Paulson took the loss for the Panthers. Paulson surrendered eight runs on seven hits over four innings, striking out four. Boline went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Panthers in hitting.
Game 2:
The Panthers fought in game two but fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-5 loss. The Panthers lost despite out-hitting Crowder College ten to six. Leadoff hitter, Journee Zito was hit by a pitch in her first at bat and three hole Kirsten Birdwell earned herself two RBI's by putting one over the fence to put Neosho on the board. Ayche Marchoud and Espy Daniels each had multiple hits for the Panthers. Zito, Paulson, Birdwell, Boline, Cummings, and Brown all had a single each. Olivia Cummings took the loss for the Panthers. The righty went six innings, allowing nine runs on six hits and struck out four.
The Panthers will open up a four game home stand starting March 5th, as Rose State College will come into town for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 PM.
