The Panthers hosted Dodge County Community College on Wednesday night. The Panthers (1-2, 0-1) played in a hard fought battle against Dodge City (2-0, 1-0), in a 73-71 loss to open KJCC conference play. Coach Davis states, "I am very proud of this young group. They continued to fight when things didn't go their way early in the game. Having fourteen freshman in one of the best conferences in the country is going to produce some opportunities to fail, and learning from that failure is the key. We definitely got 1% better tonight as a team".
  
Game Notes
The Panthers looked to knock off a top team in the west last night. However, they got off to a slow start in the first quarter. Once the Panthers got going they were able to get 14 three-point attempts to go down for the game. Turnovers played a big factor in this game for the Panthers as they committed 24 turnovers which led to many of Dodge City's points. Neosho County fought hard all game and put themselves in a position to win a game late. Tanay Williams led the way for the Panthers with 17 Points and 8 rebounds.  Mike'ya House had 15 points and 4 Rebounds. Briona Jensen recorded her second Double- Double on the season with 11 points and 12 Rebounds.

What's Next?
The Panthers will look to bounce back on Saturday (1/30) as they face off with Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, KS beginning at 5:30 PM.  This will be their second nationally ranked team on their schedule in the span of one week.
