Neosho County Baseball finished up their weekend series with NE Nebraska Community College today. The Panthers battled hard but ended up splitting with the Hawks from Northeast Nebraska. Game one was taken by NE Nebraska 10-3 in seven innings of play. The Panthers battled back and took game two 12-2 in run rule fashion in six innings of play.
Game One:
The Panthers dealt with early morning showers and cloudy skies in game one.
Ben Des Rosiers started the game for the Panthers and went five innings and gave up four earned runs. NE Nebraska's pitching staff slowed down the Panther bats as Neosho County was only able to manage five hits and three runs for the game. The Panthers battled hard but ended up falling short 10-3 in seven innings of play. This loss brings the Panthers record to 1-2 on the year.

Khalil Thrasher, Mason Lungdrin, and Vincent Esparza (2) each posted a hit for the game.
Cooper Turpin got a chance to drive in the Panthers sole RBI for this game. Freshman pitcher

Game Two:
First pitch of the 2:00PM game offered blue skies and no rain. This atmosphere proved to be just what the Panthers needed after a tough loss.
Taylor Parrett made his Neosho County debut and put together a great outing. He threw five innings, gave up six hits, and one earned run. The Panther hitters also put together some great approaches at the plate and put up crooked numbers on the scoreboard. They compiled twelve runs, thirteen hits, and five players drove in eight baserunners. The Panthers went into the bottom of the sixth inning up 11-2. After a

Mason Lundgrin drove a ball into left center to complete the ten run mercy rule. The Panthers won 12-2 in six innings to bring their record to 2-2 on the year.
