Arkansas City, KS - The Neosho Panthers fought a tough battle against Cowley College Saturday evening losing on the road, 78-64. The Panthers and Tigers were neck and neck for the first 10 minutes of play, but the Tigers had a strong second quarter, hitting for 25 points while taking the lead going into the second half, 42-33.
The third quarter belonged to Cowley, as the Tigers outscored the Panthers 23-19. Cowley would hit four three-pointers in the third quarter to extend its lead to 65-52.
The final quarter of the game was a back and forth battle, until Cowley Tiger Sienna Boltz hit 3 back to back three pointers. Neosho could not make a dent in the 13-point deficit.
For the game, the Panthers finished 31-67 for 31.3% and was 11-36 from three-point range for 30.6%. The Panthers went 19-21 from the foul line shooting 90.5% The Tigers were 29-70 for 41.4% while hitting 14 triples on 40 attempts for 35.0% The Tigers went 14-27 from the foul line shooting 51.9%

Chrissy Brown gathered 23 points and eight rebounds shooting 11-11 from the stripe. Freshman
Sonya Dozier chipped in 6 points and 4 rebounds while
Briona Jensen added 7 points.
Wednesday evening, February 12
th will be a special night at the Panthers Gymnasium, as the Women and Men's teams will be hosting the Butler Grizzlies on Breast Cancer Awareness Night. Tip-off set for 5:30 P.M. Unite in the fight against breast cancer.
