Chanute, KS – The visitors had the better start Saturday and led 14-6 with 3:25 remaining in the first quarter. The Panthers did not score for the first three minutes of the game until
Chrissy Brown knocked down a three-pointer to put Neosho on the board. Coffeyville led by two, 16-14 to end the first quarter.
Late in the second quarter, the Panthers took the lead and never let up. To close the first half, Neosho was up 35-28.
Third-quarter, the Panthers first bucket was from a put-back from Sophomore
Ashley Dillinger. Neosho outscored the Red Ravens 22-19. Coffeyville got within five two times in the third quarter.
The Panthers would take control of the game in the fourth building a double-digit lead with eight minutes left to play in the contest and holding the Red Ravens to just 9 points while scoring 35. The Panther defense forced Coffeyville into 21 turnovers and converting those into 26 Panther points. The Panther margin ballooned to 23 (75-52) in the fourth when sophomore
Hayley Stiger nailed a jumper with 3:30 on the clock.
