Parsons, KS - Both teams were strong on the rubber on Friday, but Labette County Community College was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a 3-0 victory over Neosho Softball in game one on Friday, April 5th.
Kaelee Escoe started the game for they Panthers and recorded 18 outs. A bright spot for Neosho was a single by
Alyssa Rogers in the first inning.
Escoe took the loss for the Panthers. She allowed five hits and three runs over six innings, striking out three. The Panthers saw the ball well, racking up five hits in the game.
Rogers and
Sierra Spurlock all had multiple hits for NCCC. Spurlock and
Rogers each managed two hits to lead the offense. The Panther's defense was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
Libby Horton made the most plays with five.
Neosho watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 7-0 loss to Labette County Community College in game two. The Panthers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Cardinals, giving up seven runs. One bright spot for Neosho was a double by
Kaelee Escoe in the second inning.
Ryleigh Chaffin took the loss for the Panthers. She surrendered seven runs on ten hits over four innings, striking out two and walking zero.

The Panthers are set to take on Kansas City Kansas Community College on Saturday, April 6th at KCKCC.
