Davion Benton a 6'5 sophomore is one of Coach Coombs five transfers that that he added to this year's Panther program.  Benton originally from Chicago, Ill attended Alcott Prep High School where in his senior season he was named team captain and helped lead the Wildcats to a 17-9 season.  Benton averaged 26.2 points per game, 10 rebounds per game and 4 assists per game.  Benton was the leading scorer in their conference and was elected to play in the Chicago public schools' annual high school all-star game.

Before joining the Panthers, Benton transferred from Harper College. Benton averaged 16.5 points per game and 12.2 rebounds per game in his only season with the Hawks. Also, while at Harper Benton was named Second Team All-Region and Second Team All-Conference.
 
Benton is currently averaging 9.2 points per game for the Panthers and leads the team in rebounding at 7.2 rebounds per game. He's currently majoring in Athletic Training and maintains a 3.4 career GPA.
