Chanute, KS – After coming off a 101 – 63 victory over the University of St. Mary's Spires last Friday evening, the Panthers have gotten a week to prepare for the long stretch of road games they have ahead. The Panthers have their next five of seven on the road and it starts with Three Rivers Community College Friday evening at the West Plains Classic in West Plains Missouri. Tip-off is set for 5:00 pm. Tournament.
The weekends classic will also have the Panthers taking on the host West Plains Grizzlies, Saturday at 6:00 pm. This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Grizzlies dropped the Panthers November 12th back in Chanute by a score of 70 to 79.
"This will be a great opportunity for us to be road tested before we jump into the grind of conference play." Head Coach
Jeremy Coombs said. "Once we get into Jayhawk play there will be no days off so finding our toughness is a must."

SETTING THE SCENE
The Panthers are coming off to home wins over two JV opponents and will need to be hitting on all cylinders if they want to win on the road against a well-coached Three Rivers team.
"Three Rivers has size and their guard play is really good." Coach Coombs said. "They are coached by Hall of Fame coach Gene Bess who has an unreal record in his 50 years at Three Rivers."
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS OF THREE RIVERS
Three Rivers is currently 4 and 3 on the season with all three losses on the road. The Raiders are 2 and 0 at home and have beat some very talented teams in Highland Community College (Illinois) and John A Logan College, who has the #1 player in the country. The Raiders are averaging 80 points per game and shooting an outstanding 33.9% from deep.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the first time these two programs have met in the Coombs era.
