Neosho handed the Pratt Beavers their first Jayhawk conference loss of the year Saturday, stuffing the Beavers 81-74 on the Panthers home court.
The Panthers played from behind nearly all four quarters including a 3-point deficit at half. Pratt outscored Neosho in the third quarter 26-20. Trailing at the start of the fourth quarter by 9 points, the Panthers dominated both offensively and defensively holding the Beavers to just 10 points.
Redshirt freshman Kelcey Hinz earned herself a double double and lead the Panthers in scoring with 22 points, 10 boards and 2 steals. Freshman Jessica Jones scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Sophomore Calea Augustin added 13 points while freshman Chrissy Brown chipped in 11 points, 8 assists and 6 boards.
The Panthers now 6-10 overall and 3-3 in the conference travel to Garden City Wednesday, January 9, to take on the Broncbusters, 8-6 for the season and 3-2 in conference play. Game set to tip-off at 6 p.m.
