Garden City, Ks – The Neosho women fell 75-110 on the road at Garden City Wednesday.
Neosho started off with a bang as they scored the first six points against the Broncbusters. Garden City called a time out and not too long afterwards they went on a 8-0 run that put them up 22-19 with about a minute left in the first quarter. The Panthers made a 10-2 run that would tie the game 41-41 with about three minutes left to play in the first half. Neosho headed to the locker room at halftime down ten, 44-54. Coming out for the second half, the Broncbusters shot 61% and held the Panthers to only score 18 points in the third, ending the quarter trailing by twelve. The fourth quarter sealed the Panthers fate only scoring 13 points to Garden City's 30.
Neosho had two players end the night with a double-double, redshirt freshman
Kelcey Hinz lead the Panthers in scoring with 18 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks and sophomore
Alexis Casher with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Neosho is now 6-11 on the season and 3-4 in Jayhawk Conference play. The Panthers will travel to Liberal Saturday, January 12
th at 6:00 p.m. to face the Seward County Saints.
