Chanute, KS - Neosho County Women's Basketball (6-12 overall, 3-5 KJCCC) had a poor shooting performance in the second half resulting in a 54-77 loss to the Independence Pirates (8-8, 3-6 KJCCC) Monday night.
Neosho forced Indy into 32 turnovers and beat them on the boards 49-34 but fell short in the second half only shooting 20% from the field and 50% from the free throw line.
Freshman
Chrissy Brown lead the Panthers in scoring with 12 points and 2 steals. Sophomore
Alexis Casher added 9 points, 14 rebounds and 2 steals.
Neosho County will be back on the road Wednesdy as they travel to Arkansas City, Ks to face the Cowley Tigers (14-4 overall, 6-3 KJCCC). Game set to tip at 5:30 p.m. The game will be live streamed at the link below courtesy of Cowley Sports Network.
