Panthers Lose On The Road

Coffeyville, KS. - The Neosho County women's basketball team suffered a loss on the road Saturday to Coffeyville, 80-69. "This was a disappointing loss for us tonight. We needed this win," said Coach Davis, Neosho County head coach, "we struggled both offensively and defensively tonight."

Neosho County (6-16 overall, 3-9 KJCCC) shot 31.4% from the field while Coffeyville (5-17 overall, 4-9 KJCCC) shot 45.6%. "Our free throws killed us tonight,' Coach Davis added, "those are uncontested shots, we have to knock those down." Neosho went 16-31 from the charity stripe.

The Red Ravens turned it up in the second adding 24 points to their score and held Neosho to 18, giving Coffeyville a lead of 3 to end the first half, 33-30.  Third quarter neither team had a good shooting performance, Neosho added 14 and Coffeyville 19, ending the period with the Red Ravens in the lead, 52-44.
