Liberal, KS. – The Neosho County women's basketball team had about a 5 ½ hour bus ride to Liberal Monday where they took on the Seward County Saints. The bus ride didn't appear to affect the Panthers as they came out on fire in the first quarter. With the Neosho County women's basketball team being the top scoring team in the Jayhawk Conference, the Saints held them to just 18 points in the second quarter. Neosho ended the first half trailing the Saints 40-56. To start the third, Seward drained 26 points making it a 20-point gap. Neosho held the Saints to just 17 points the fourth quarter but that wasn't enough as the Panthers fell to Seward 83-99.

Destiny Stewart led the Panthers in scoring with 14 points and 2 steals. Sophomore
Imani Jones added 13 points and 8 rebounds. Redshirt freshman
Kelcey Hinz dropped 10 points and 9 rebounds.
The Panthers forced Seward into 23 turnovers. Neosho shot 34.7% from the field and gave up 30 fast break points to the Saints.
The Panthers return to action Wednesday, January 23
rd as they host the #20 Butler County Grizzlies. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
