McPherson, KS- On Saturday, the Panthers traveled to McPherson to take on the host team and Hesston. Neosho went 2-0 on the weekend to move to 10-9 overall. First the Panthers took on McPherson. Neosho won in 5 sets. ( 20-25, 25-12, 25-21, 21-25, 15-10). Offensively, the Panthers were led by
Chandler Karr with 15 kills followed by
Ryed Creek with 10 kills.
Karlye Wagner led the Panthers at the net with 7 blocks total and
Daisy Retana led with 23 digs for the match.
Next, the Panthers would take on Hesston for the second time this season. Last time these two teams faced off it was an exciting 5 set match. On Saturday, the Panthers took down the Larks in 3 sets. ( 25-23, 25-19, 28-26).Offensively, Karr again led the Panthers with 15 kills followed by
Kelcey Hinz with 8 kills. Jenna Devore had 32 assists total and 10.6 assists per set.
Neosho will compete again on Monday at MCC-Longview against the host team and Des Moines Area Community College.
