Box Score Chanute, KS- On Wednesday, Neosho volleyball competed in their first KJCCC Conference match of the season against Johnson County Community College. The Panthers competed, but fell short losing in 4 sets to the Caveliers. (10-25, 26-24, 18-25, 21-25) Neosho dropped the first set, but came back in set 2 and took a close set that went extra points. The Panthers battled with Johnson in sets 3 and 4, but the Cavaliers were the ones that came out on top in both sets to win the match.

Daisy Retana had 23 digs, which led the Panthers defensively. Sophomore outside hitter
Ryann Flax had a solid offensive performance with 6 kills and only 1 hitting error. Flax hit .417 for the match.
The Panthers will head to Highland on Friday August 31, to compete at the Highland Invitational. They play Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and MCC-Longview on Friday and Iowa Central and Ellsworth Community College on Saturday. Neosho's next home stand will be on September 10 against Fort Scott Community College.
