Colby, KS - On Saturday, the Panthers made the long trip to Colby,KS to face the Colby Community College Trojans. As in recent meetings between the two teams, the game intensity was high. The first three quarters of the game were tightly played, with the Panthers holding a lead at the end of the first quarter. Neosho lead the Trojans 31-30 at halftime. The Panthers maintained the lead through the third quarter 48-47. The Panthers went on to outscore the Trojans 13 to 8 to finish out the game with a score of 61-55.
The Panthers were led in scoring by KeKe Lyles with 15 points, followed by
Beth Hawkins with 9 and Calea Augustin with 7 points. Neosho County Women's Basketball will take on Garden City at home Wednesday, February 21. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
