The Panthers traveled to Hutchinson, Kansas to take on the #15 in the nation Blue Dragons on Wednesday January 31
st. Hutchinson jumped out to a 10-0 start before the Panthers got on the scoreboard. That ten-point difference remained all the way through halftime with the Panthers trailing 27-37. A 30 point third quarter gave the Blue Dragons a commanding lead that they maintained for the remainder of the game, with the final score showing 91-50. The Panthers are now 6-16 on the season, 3-15 in conference.
Calea Augustin led the Panthers in scoring with 10, followed by
DeQuandra Lyles and Alexis Boyd with 9, and Jaelyn Foster with 8. Augustin also led in rebounds with 5 followed by Makaylah McCall pulling down 4.
Beth Hawkins assisted on 3 Panther baskets to lead the team.
The Panthers host the Thunderbirds of Cloud County on Saturday, February 3
rd at 2 pm at Neosho County Community College.
