Overland Park, KS - The Panthers traveled to Overland Park, KS, this past weekend to take on the Lady Cavilers of Johnson County Community College. The Panthers led by 5 going into the second half, but fell short when Johnson scored a total of 49 points for the half to the Panthers 36.
Freshman
Chrissy Brown led the Panthers in scoring with 26 points followed by Sophomore
Calea Augustin with 14 points. Redshirt Freshman
Kelcey Hinz added 11 points and 6 rebounds. Brown also led the team in rebounds with 3 offensive and 6 defensive.
While in Overland Park, KS, the Panthers also faced the Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals. Offensive struggles in throughout the game led to the eventual 100-57 loss to the Lady Cardinals.
The Panthers trailed the Lady Cardinals at the end of the first quarter 14-29. Trinity Valley extended their lead in the second quarter as they held Neosho to 17 points, while they scored 25 points. The Panthers headed into the locker room down 23 points at halftime by a score of 31-54. In the fourth quarter the Panthers held the Lady Cardinals to 18 points, the least amount of the game, but overall poor shooting resulted in the 100-57 loss to the Cardinals.
Sophomore
Calea Augustin led the Panthers in scoring with 14 points followed by Sophomore
Alexis Casher and Redshirt Freshman
Kelcey Hinz both scoring 7. Freshman
Morgan Bolen pulled down 8 rebounds coming off the bench.
The Panthers will take on Connors State College Wednesday November 21, at 2:00 pm. in Warner, OK.
