Park Hills, MO- The Panthers traveled to Park Hills, MO, this past weekend to take on the Lady Cardinals of Mineral Area Community College. Offensive struggles in the second quarter led to the eventual 83-66 loss to the Lady Cardinals.
The Panthers trailed the Lady Cardinals at the end of the first quarter 13-18. Mineral Area extended their lead in the second quarter as they held Neosho to 14 points, while they scored 23 points. The Panthers headed into the locker room down 14 points at halftime by a score of 27-41.
Neosho outscored Mineral Area in the third quarter, cutting their lead to just 11 points, but overall poor shooting on the night resulted in the 83-66 loss to the Lady Cards.
Sophomore
Erica Birch led the Panthers in scoring with 15 points followed by Sophomore
Calea Augustin with 10 points. Redshirt Freshman Kelcey
Hinz added 7 points and 13 rebounds.
The Panthers will take on John Wood Sunday November 11, at 1:00 pm. in Park Hills MO.
