Box Score 2 Chanute, KS- The Neosho Volleyball team closed out their home matches for the 2018 season with wins against Labette and Independence. On Monday, the Panthers added another conference win to their record with a four set victory over Labette Community College. (25-21, 19-25, 25-20, 25-17) Neosho was led offensivley by sophomore
Chandler Karr with 18 kills folowed by sophomores
Imani Jones and
Karlye Wagner with 10 kills each. Defensively, the Panthers were led by freshman
Keeley Tallent with 23 digs followed by sophomore
Kayla Maples with 17 digs.
On Wednesday, the Panthers closed out their home games for the season with a sweep over former conference opponent Independence Community College. ( 25-20, 25-21, 25-20) The Panthers had several different players contribute offensively, but the Panthers were led by
Chandler Karr with 8 kills followed by
Ryann Flax with 5 kills. Neosho was led defensively by
Keeley Tallent with 12 digs followed by Jenna Devore with 10 digs and
Karlye Wagner with 5 blocks.
The Panthers will wrap up this week with a trip to Springfield, Illinois this weekend to compete in the Lincoln Land Invite. Neosho will have a tough schedule as they play #2 Parkland, #5 Grand Rapids, and #15 Lincoln Land along with Wabaunsee.
