Box Score Iola, KS – Defense and rebounding were the main focus Saturday as the Panthers headed 24 miles north to Iola.

"Going into Allen and getting a win is always a difficult task" said Coach Jeremy Coombs, "Allen does a great job packing the gym when the panthers come to town...it was a great atmosphere to play in."

The Panthers weren't going to rely on scoring so all focus was on defending.

"I thought we did a great job in the first half sticking to the game defensive plan early," Coombs Said "but the first ten min of the second we got away from the game plan and allowed several open 3's."

In the second half Allen came out of the game firing threes which led to Allen taking the lead but Neosho quickly adjusted and put together several stops that ultimately helped the panthers pull off a 86-77 road win.

Next the Panthers will travel Monday to Hillsboro KS to take on Tabor JV in their final non conference game. Tip is set for 7:00pm on the campus of Tabor College.
