COFFEYVILLE, KS - On Wednesday, September 13th, Neosho Volleyball traveled to Coffeyville to compete, in their second conference match of the season, against #6 ranked Coffeyville. The Panthers battled against the Red Ravens, but a errors at crucial times caused the Panthers to fall in 4 sets. 

During the first set both teams traded points back and forth until Coffeyville took advantage of some errors by the Panthers, which eventually lead to a 25-21 victory. Sets two and three proved to be more of the same except it was the Panthers who capitalized on errors by Coffeyville to take set 2 by a score of 26-24, followed by Coffeyville taking set three 26-24. 

The Red Ravens used the momentum from the 26-24 third set win and jumped out to an early lead in set 4. The Panthers tried to close the gap at the end of the set, but the Red Raven lead proved to be too large. Coffeyville took the final set 25-17.

Sophomore Maryssa Recio lead the Panthers with 11 kills, followed by Ryed Creek with 5 kills. Joanna Riggs had 3 solo blocks and 2 block assists to lead the Panthers at the net, while Madi Miller had 24 digs, followed by Breann Becker with 17 digs. 

The Panthers will be back in action next Wednesday, September 20 at Labette Community College at 6:30pm.
