Box Score Chanute, KS - A new winning streak has started. After winning 12 straight and getting into the top 25 poll last week, the Panthers took a tough loss on the road at pratt. But bounced back vs the Cowley Community College Tigers on Saturday. The win puts Neosho at the top of the conference rankings, but tied with Hutchinson Community College. The game would go very good for the Panthers in the first half. The lead would reach 18 at one point, but the halftime score would be 43-27 in the Panthers favor.
The second half was a much different story though. The Panthers would get out-scored by 10 in the period 46-36. Cowley would really turn up the ball pressure and forced the panthers into 11 2nd half turnovers. But with ball pressure comes fouls. Cowley would commit 31 fouls to Neosho's 20. A big difference maker in the game. The Panthers would also go 28/37 from the free throw line where Cowley would go just 19/24. Free throws late in the game would secure another win. The Panthers were lead by
Marc Moon who had 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.
