The #22 Panther's Win 24th Game of the Season

Chanute, KS - The #24 Neosho County College (24-4 / 14-3) men's basketball team won its 24th game of the season as they took down the Bacone College 109-52 Wednesday night in its final non-conference game of the season.

"Tonight was a great all around team win" said Panther Head Coach Jeremy Coombs "20 wins in a season is every programs goal and to be able to win our 24th is something very special."

The Panthers shot 52.9 percent from the floor, 39.7 percent from three and 85.2 percent from the free-throw. At the first half media timeout the Panthers were only up 21-18 before going a 22-0 run to pull away and end the first half leading 45-24.

"I thought the guys did a great job of making adjustments early and really did a great job of being patient offensively" said Panther Head Coach Jeremy Coombs "We were also able to get a lot of guys more game reps then we normal do and it allowed us work on some things we don't always have time to work on."

In the second half Neosho's high powered offense would continue to push the tempo of the game as they scored several easy baskets in transition and poured in 64 points in the second half alone. Becone's struggles continue into the second half as the Panther's held them to just 28 second half points.

For the game the Panthers had 18 points off turnovers, 19 second chance points, 45 points off the bench and six Panther's in double digit scoring.

The #22 Panther's will be back in action this Saturday as the host Coffeyville in their final home conference game of the season. Tip is set for 4pm.
