Saturday the Panthers traveled to Pratt to take on the Beavers in a Jayhawk Conference matchup. The Beavers came out ready to play as they put up 26 points to the Panthers 8 in the first quarter. It would be the first quarter that would prove the difference. The Panthers were able to battle back by after losing the first quarter. They tied the Second and won the third and fourth quarters, which gave the Panthers opportunities at the end to steal a win on the road. That first quarter deficit would be more than the Panthers could overcome as they fell to Pratt 74-65.
The Panthers ended with 3 players in double figures,
Ki'Asha Harris (23)
Bianca Valderrama (14), and
Jhanai Felix (13). Harris and Valderrama both grabbed 11 rebounds finishing the game with double-doubles.
The Panthers will be back home on Wednesday as they host the Red Ravens of Coffeyville at 5:30 pm.Â
