In the final home game of the first semester the Panthers hosted the Red Ravens of Coffeyville. The Panthers came out with intensity and no issues getting easy layups in the lane. On 10-15 shooting the Panthers were able to take the 1
st quarter lead 22-20. But it would be the Red Ravens who would take control of the rest of the game out scoring the Panthers 68-49 in the final 3 quarters. The Red Ravens out rebounded the Panthers 40 to 26 and added 10 3's in the final three quarters of play that would make the difference as they beat the Panthers 88-71.
Bianca Valderrama led the Panthers with 17 points and 10 rebounds for her 3
rd double-double of the season and second consecutive.
The Panthers will finish out the 1
st half of the season on Saturday when they travel to Liberal, KS to take on the Jayhawk Conference leader and #8 in the Country Saints of Seward County. The tip time for that game is scheduled for 6pm.
