Liberal, KS - The Neosho County Panthers move to 4-2 in conference play with a tough grind it out game. Seward County is the 24th ranked team in the country and now moves to 3-3 in the conference. Liam Stephenson led all scorers in the game with 29 points. The panthers were led in scoring by
Richard Granberry with 27 points and 13 rebounds. The Panthers would again start off slow and be behind most of the game. But free throw shooting would play an important factor in this game.
The Panthers would go into halftime down 35-41. The Saints would keep a lead in the second half until late in the game but the Panthers would keep chipping away at the lead.
Jalen Jackson would come off the bench for the Panthers and score 19, going 3-6 from the 3pt line. The Neosho County bench would outscore the Seward County bench 33-14. A
Derek Sharp 3 would tie the game with about 2 minutes to play. Neosho would get some big stops and make some big free throws down the stretch to secure the win.
The Panthers return home on Saturday to take on the Barton County Community College Cougars at 4pm.
