Chanute, KS - The Neosho County Community College Panthers make a statement with a home win on wednesday night.The Butler Community College Grizzlies travel to town despite the cold weather conditions. The Panthers would start off the game with an 11-1 run but butler would rally back to get within 4 before halftime.
Marc Moon would hit a three with 6 seconds left to take a 7 point lead at the break.
The Panthers would be lead by
Richard Granberry who would have 22 points and 9 rebounds.
Freddie McSwain would have 5 dunks in the contest. The second half the Panthers would really take control of the game. The largest lead would be 26 points, there would be no lead changes and no ties. The final score would be 82-67 in favor of NCCC. Panthers improve to 16-3 on the season and 8-2 in conference.Â
Independence Community College will be traveling to Chanute on Saturday January 21. Game time will be at 4pm.Â
