The Panthers had yet another night of poor shooting from the floor on Wednesday as they hosted Butler County in a Jayhawk Conference match up. The Panthers shot 18% and 20% from the floor totaling 19 % for the game. The Panthers did battle back in the second half cutting the Butler lead to 18 at one point after being down by as much as 30 in the first half. The comeback was short lived as the Grizzlies extended the lead back to 34 points for a final score of 74 to 40. The Grizzlies handed the Panthers their first 30 point loss of the season. Panthers
Makayla Bell and
Brooke Neal lead the way in the Panthers scoring effort. Neal scored a team high 11 points, while Bell added 10. The Panthers will play again at home on Saturday as the Pirates of Independence Community College come to Chanute for a 2pm Jayhawk Conference battle.
