Saturday night the Panthers found themselves right in the game with the Tigers in the first half. Both teams were struggling from the field, the Panthers shot 18% for the half, but despite the poor shooting with about 4 minutes to go in the second quarter the Panthers found themselves within 2 of the Tigers. The tigers would end the half forcing several turnovers and turning them into a 28 to 15 halftime lead. The Tigers came out of the half firing on all cylinders. Cowley scored 31 of their 68 total points in the third quarter. The Panthers were able to improve their shooting touch (41% from the field) in the second half and did outscore the Tigers in the 4
th quarter. It was too little too late as the Panthers fell 68-39 to the Tigers. Panther
Ki'Asha Harris led all scorers with 14 points and added 9 rebounds to her stat line leading all rebounders for the game. The Panthers will host Butler County on Wednesday at 5:30pm here in Chanute.
