On Wednesday, Neosho faced off with Jayhawk conference opponent Allen, and took the match in 3 sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-13). The Panthers started off strong and jumped to a quick lead to start the match. Allen fought back towards the end of the match, but it was not enough to push past the Panthers lead.
Mackenzie Brown lead the offense in the first set with 4 Kills and 0 Errors.
The second set was a back and forth affair, but the Panthers again were able to find a way to come out on top. The Panthers trailed 14-18 before going on a run that gave them the lead.
Riley McGinn was the biggest contributor to the second set with 7 Kills and 0 Errors.
Neosho took the momentum they gained at the end of the second set and never looked back finishing off match in the third set with a 25-13 victory. The offense was evenly distributed in the third set with Rianne, Jill and Riley leading the way in kills. Rianne had 3 kills and Jill and Riley both contributed 2 kills each. The Panthers only committed 4 hitting errors for the set, which also a big factor in their 25-13 victory.

Riley McGinn lead the way offensively for the Panthers. The two combined were responsible for 20 of the 36 total kills for the match. Mackenzie had 10 kills, 1 Error, while Riley had 10 kills, 0 errors for the match

With the win the Panthers moved to a 6-2 overall record and 1-1 record in the Jayhawk Conference. Next, Neosho will head to Pasadena, Texas to participate in the San Jacinto Military Appreciation Tournament over the Labor Day weekend.Â
