Jack Lambert had an early shot go inches wide of the goal. It didn't take the Thunderbirds long to gain control of the play and at the half Cloud lead the shot on goal count with 7 compared to Neosho's 1.
The Panthers had some bright spells in the second half. Sophomore

Matheus Alves connected well to create some opportunities but couldn't capitalize on their chances. Davis kept the score at 0-0 until the last 6 minutes of the game as Cloud County found the opening goal from a cross on the left side.
Neosho County drops to a 0-1 record and Cloud County who were predicted to finish 1
st in the KJCCC this season moved to a 3-2 record.
