Shane Hummel (1-1) earned his first win of the season in a double header sweep at Rockhurst University Tuesday.
The Panthers won the first contest 9-1 and game two 9-0.
In game one, Hummel pitched three innings in relief of starter
Drew Johnson. Hummel allowed two hits and struck out two.
Jonah Bride continued his success at the plate, finishing game one 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Bride hit a three run home run in the top of the sixth.
Brady Childs batted 2-for-3 with a RBI in game one.
Josh Willis (4-0) pitched a complete game, one hit, shut out in a run rule shortened contest in game two, earning the win. Willis struck out five and walked one. At the plate,
Bradley Bullock was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored.
Chad Thomas was 2-for-2 and reached base once more on a walk. He scored two runs.
