A pair of former Panthers will be inducted as the inaugural class of the Neosho Athletics Hall of Fame April 24. Paul Lindblad and Jeremy Isenhower will become the first members of the Hall of Fame at the induction dinner and ceremony at 6:00pm in the Oak Room on the Neosho County Community College Campus. Chanute native Paul Lindblad played 14 seasons in the Major Leagues with the A's, Senators, Rangers, and Yankees. Â Lindblad finished his Major League career with a 68-63 record to go with 64 saves over 665 games. He won three World Series titles and was the winning pitcher in Game Three of the World Series in 1973.

A state champion javelin thrower for Chanute High School, he also excelled in the event while a member of the track team for Neosho from 1959-61. Lindblad was the long time record holder in the event. Lindblad would sign to play baseball at the University of Kansas before signing as a free agent with the Kansas City A's in 1962.

Jeremy Isenhower has become one of the top names in slow pitch softball. The Osawatomie, Kansas native got his start as a baseball player for
Steve Murry from 1999-2000. Isenhower earned All-Conference and All-Region honors in 2000 and was named the MVP of both the Region VI and Jayhawk Conference MVP. That season also saw Isenhower earn NJCAA All-American honors and a Rawlings Gold Glove. After Neosho Isenhower continued on at Missouri State University where the awards kept coming including NCAA Newcomer of the year and NCAA All-American honors. He was drafted in 2002 by the Philadelphia Phillies.

After spending two seasons in the Phillies minor league organization, Isenhower retired from baseball and found a new love in slow pitch softball. He quickly climbed the ranks and in 2008 earned a contract as a Miken Sports sponsored athlete. In 2011 he joined Remondo Sports and has helped them to three World Series titles in his first four seasons with the team. Isenhower currently has a signature line of clothing and slow pitch softball equipment with Miken Sports.Â
