The Panthers hosted the Scotties today at Hudson Field for the Shutout Diabetes Game. Neosho would win both games today 8-6 and 11-8, sweeping Highland in the four game series making them 19-7 on the season.,

Game one would start with the Panthers scoring first in the bottom of the first inning on a RBI single by freshman Jonah Bride. In second inning there would no runs scored, so the score would be 1-0 going into the top of the third. Highland would score five runs in the third inning, making the score 5-1 going into the bottom of the third inning. The Panthers would answer with three runs of their own making the score 5-4 going into he top of the fourth inning. Neosho would score four more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to give them a 8-5 lead going in to the last inning of play. Highland would score one run in the seventh on a homerun, but that would be all they would get. Neosho would win the game 8-6.


The Panthers would take game two of the day as well scoring eleven runs on eleven hits. Nathan Whitcomb would come in to relieve Matt Slauter and shut the door on the Scotties offense. Neosho would win the game 11-8 to complete the conference sweep. ,The Panthers will take on Rockhurst University on Tuesday at Hudson Field for a double header.,

Hot hitters on the day were Bride who was 2-3 game one with five RBI's, and Ryan Toliver game two who went 3-4 with two doubles and a homerun.,
