The Neosho County men's soccer team managed to come away with their first conference win of the season in a very physical game against Cowley.
Â
The Panthers went 1-0 up early on in the game with a goal from
Matheus Alves, his fifth goal of the season so far. The score would remain the same until late on in the second half when Alves became the provider with a great through ball to
Renan Raposo who slotted a low shot into the net to make the score 2-0 for the Panthers.
Â
Unfortunately the Neosho County defense was unable to keep the shutout. A deflected shot with only 2 minutes left managed to find it's way past goalkeeper,
Ryan Davis to make the final score 2-1.
Ryan Davis had another solid performance with 11 saves on the night.
Â
The Panthers will be back in action Saturday, October 10
th as they take on KCK at home.
