The Neosho County volleyball team scored three wins at the Norse Invite hosted by Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
On Friday, the Panthers pulled off a clean sweep, defeating North Lake College 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, and 25-11) and Allen County Community College 3-0 (25-19, 25-16 and 25-19).
Sophomores
Jill Starling and
Mackenzie Brown tallied 19 kills each combined for the two matches, while freshman
Rianne Richard and
Riley McGinn tallied four blocks easch.
The next day, Neosho County split the matches with Southeast Community College and Northeastern Oklahoma.
In match one, the Panthers defeated Southeast 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 26-24, 25-15) but lost to the Norse 3-1 (25-11, 18-25, 25-10 and 25-14).
Starling led the team in kills with 19 on Saturday. Brown had 18. McGinn tallied seven blocks, while freshman
Taryn Strobel recorded 47 digs.
The Panthers (22-10 overall and 3-5 in the KJCCC) will return home to host Hesston College (15-10 and 3-4) on Wednesday at 6pm.
